For corrections officers

Protective clothing for corrections officers.

Cut, stab, and bite-resistant garments — independently lab-rated ANSI A6 — worn by officers in correctional, juvenile detention, and transport environments. Under uniform or as outerwear.

What you’re protecting against

Officers in correctional environments face daily exposure to improvised weapons (shanks, sharpened toothbrushes, broken plastic), bites and scratches during cell extractions and disturbances, and slashes during contraband searches.

Standard correctional uniforms offer no cut, stab, or bite protection. Cut-Tuff® Core garments add ANSI A6 lab-rated protection — worn under uniform or as outerwear during high-risk operations.

What’s the difference between cut and stab resistance?

Cut resistance (ANSI A6) measures protection against slashing or drawing-blade attacks. Stab/puncture resistance (EN 388 Level 4) measures protection against perpendicular pointed-object attacks like shanks. Cut-Tuff® Core is rated to the highest level on both scales. See our full Protection Standards guide →

Can these be worn during cell extractions or use of force?

Yes. Our outerwear options — full-zip jackets, hoodies, and arm guards — are designed for high-risk operations where visible-deterrent protection is appropriate. They can be worn over uniform or as part of a tactical kit.
