Who we are

For over 10 years, BAC Tactical — operating as Body Armour Canada Ltd. — has supplied cut, slash, bite, and puncture-resistant clothing to institutions and individuals across the United States, Australia and New Zealand. We’re veteran-owned and operated.

We specialize in protective garments designed for environments where staff face daily exposure to physical aggression — psychiatric inpatient units, special education classrooms, behavioral-health facilities, group homes, juvenile detention centers, and correctional units. Our garments are engineered to perform to lab-rated standards while looking and wearing like everyday clothing — no visible armor, no intimidation factor.

Our core product line, Cut-Tuff® Core, is independently lab-tested by Groupe CTT Inc. in Quebec, Canada — a recognized textile-research lab — to the following internationally recognized standards:

  • ANSI/ISEA 105-2016 Level A6 cut resistance (3,000–3,999 grams force)
  • EN ISO 13997 Level F cut resistance (the highest level on the European scale, ≥30 N)
  • EN 388:2016 Puncture Level 4 (≥150 N — the highest level)
  • EN 388:2016 Tear Level 4 (≥75 N — the highest level)

Why Cut-Tuff® Core?

Most of our garments where indicated feature Cut-Tuff® Core — a proprietary polyester/spandex blend engineered for cut, bite, slash, and puncture resistance.

Unlike traditional protective materials, Cut-Tuff® Core is:

  • 100% latex-free — clinically appropriate
  • Breathable and lightweight — designed for full-shift wear under scrubs or as outerwear
  • Machine washable up to 40°C (104°F) — compatible with standard laundering protocols
  • Smooth against the skin — comfortable as a base layer
  • Discreet — looks like regular clothing, not visible armor
