What the injuries actually are

- Human bites — usually to the forearm. The most under-rated injury here: the human mouth carries a dense mix of bacteria, so human bites have a notably high rate of infection and often need medical attention. They are not “just a nip.”
- Scratches and skin tears — to forearms and hands, from nails and grabbing.
- Pinches and grabs — bruising and skin damage to the arms.

What PPE actually protects against this
The goal is to stop teeth and nails reaching skin on the most-exposed areas — the forearms and torso — without turning a classroom into something that looks clinical or alarming. Two product types do the work:
